Professional Immigration

There are 3 types of professional immigration to Canada: Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class. All 3 types are being proceeded through the system called Express Entry. If you are eligible to be in the pool of Express Entry and are chosen by the immigration authorities, your application for Permanent Residence can be proceeded in 6 months or less. Study and visitor permits

In order to get a student or visitor visa there are certain rules to be followed. The immigration laws in Canada are often changed and the ways to receive Temporary Resident Permit become tougher for some countries or situations.

  • First and the most important point is to convince immigration officer that that you will return to your country.
  • You must demonstrate the sufficient amount of funds for you visit / study and return.
  • You must be admissible to Canada. Meaning, no criminal records (in some cases may be rehabilitated), no transmissible health problems, and more aspects that are listed in the admissibility legislation act, rules and regulations.

Family Sponsorship

In other words, Family Reunification, can be done for the following family members:

  • the sponsor’s spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner;
  • a dependent child (under the age of 22 and single) of the sponsored person;
  • parents and grandparents;
  • an adopted child;
  • orphaned brothers, sisters, nieces, relatives in the age under 22 y.o. and who are not married;
  • any relative in case the Canadian citizen/permanent resident has no other relative in Canada and is not married/in common law relationship

CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

In order to be eligible to apply for the Citizenship of Canada you must be physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for 1,095 days within the five (5) years immediately before applying for citizenship. Only the five (5) years preceding the date of your application are taken into account.

The time required to be in Canada for eligibility is subject to change by Canadian Immigration Authority and has to be checked for updates.

One more requirement is to prove you have a sufficient knowledge of English or French. This requirement concerns only the applicants between 18 and 54 years old.
Your criminal records, any offence in or outside of Canada may affect your eligibility for the citizenship.

 As another requirement, you must have the knowledge of Canadian history, values, symbols, political structure, rights, responsibilities and privileges of citizenship.
